Occasionally, things don't go as planned. This morning was an understatement, but it made it that much more enjoyable. Courtney and Ethan flew out from Louisiana to meet with other wedding vendors, and had never seen snow before. Spring in Colorado left them with a little more than they bargained for. Intending to hike up to Saint Mary's Glacier, we were greeted with 2 feet of snow and opted to explore the little town instead. A stuck Subaru (mine, not theirs), a lot of laughing, and even a snowball fight later (keep scrolling to see who won!), we said goodbye to happily return to the Denver sunshine. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
"I get by with a little help from my friends." It's one of my favorite songs by the Beatles, and it also happens to be true in just about every situation. In this case, Alison and Jake went snowboarding with a group of friends, who turned out to be more novices than they had previously let on. Next thing you know, Alison and Jake are at the bottom of the mountain, waiting for their friends that "could have slid down the run faster." They became snowboarding buddies for the day, and the rest is history.
This April evening left Mount Falcon foggy, covered in a layer of snow, mesmerizing, and reminiscent of that snowy Washington afternoon. We climbed up and down rocks, overlooks, and laughed on the way to the castle (ps. if you haven't been there, you should absolutely go. It's a really cool thing to see!) Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
From blue ridges to lakes nestled high in the Rocky Mountains, L & J's relationship has seen some incredible sights. They met on a beach in North Carolina while in college, and J took them for a trip down memory lane by proposing on one during sunrise. L remembers it was almost too good to be true, complete with dolphins jumping in the distance. Now in her home state of Colorado, their new adventure is just waiting to begin. We headed up to Lily Lake just outside of Estes Park, where we were greeted with a surprise spring snow flurry. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
