From blue ridges to lakes nestled high in the Rocky Mountains, L & J's relationship has seen some incredible sights. They met on a beach in North Carolina while in college, and J took them for a trip down memory lane by proposing on one during sunrise. L remembers it was almost too good to be true, complete with dolphins jumping in the distance. Now in her home state of Colorado, their new adventure is just waiting to begin. We headed up to Lily Lake just outside of Estes Park, where we were greeted with a surprise spring snow flurry. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
Sometimes in great love stories, events don't play out in the traditional way. In this case, their out-of-order timeline is what makes the story even sweeter. M & K went to school together, even dating briefly in middle school but it ended before "it got too serious." Fast forward to their first date; M hadn't fully realized K's intentions when he took her to watch Beauty and the Beast. Undeniable chemistry took over, and the rest is history. When you first meet them, you'd think they had been together this entire time. These two adventurous souls share a romance that seems to be from a storybook, from the little glances they share to the way K makes M laugh until she's breathless. Easy-going and up for anything, we climbed through sagebrush and up rock formations during our morning together. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
I always encourage my couples to choose locations that help tell their story, whether it's the coffee shop where they met or mountain views they chase every weekend. For a nostalgic afternoon, these two chose Old Town Fort Collins, the city that they both moved to school for and consequently fell in love. We spent a sunny February afternoon wandering around it's murals, brick buildings, and charming side streets. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
