A warm spring evening spent walking around Evergreen lake, complete with a gentle breeze and smidgen of puffy clouds, was absolutely perfect weather to compliment Heather and Taylor's relationship. They share a quiet, gentle, yet goofy love that was very refreshing. We talked about engineering, our mutual awkward tendencies, and love of barbecue. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
Sometimes, simple and understated makes for a more memorable wedding. Nichole and Shawn's day started with a home-cooked breakfast at an Airbnb, plenty of coffee, and a very relaxing "hang out" session during hair & make-up. Shortly after, we headed up to Flagstaff Mountain to bask in the warm spring sunshine and take in the views.
Complete with Wendy's french fries, slipping into Chacos, and a make-your-own taco bar, it was the perfect way to spend the beautiful day, with their loved ones enjoying each other's company alongside one of Colorado's magnificent overlooks.
"We're looking for something out of the ordinary." Glow in the dark mini golf for their first date, getting engaged at sunrise on a private beach in the Philippines, and opening a business together, Mark and Shaye definitely are up for any adventure. Visiting a frozen waterfall near Evergreen, we had a fantastic evening filled with piggy back rides, innapropriate jokes, and future camping plans. We got creative and silly, and had so much fun that we didn't even notice the cold. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
"From the Ground Up" by Dan + Shay. It's a tender, goose-bump inducing country song that couldn't describe Haden and Genna better if the musicians had written it about these two sweethearts themselves. On one of the first warm sunny days of spring, two very loving, down-to-earth souls said "I do" on the ranch they built together.
The day was absolute perfection. From Long's Peak in the background, to the rustic decor that brought me back to my childhood, to the beer-carrying donkey, to the very soft yet unwavering love that radiated from this couple.
Congratulations, Genna and Haden! I wish you all of the happiness in the world, now 'til forever.
Occasionally, things don't go as planned. This morning was an understatement, but it made it that much more enjoyable. Courtney and Ethan flew out from Louisiana to meet with other wedding vendors, and had never seen snow before. Spring in Colorado left them with a little more than they bargained for. Intending to hike up to Saint Mary's Glacier, we were greeted with 2 feet of snow and opted to explore the little town instead. A stuck Subaru (mine, not theirs), a lot of laughing, and even a snowball fight later (keep scrolling to see who won!), we said goodbye to happily return to the Denver sunshine. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.
